Megan Reilly is a freelance journalist based in Southern California. Fresh from the land of agriculture (California's Central Valley), she's a reporter poking around for stories–emphasis in food writing.

As a part of the Patch.com team, she writes about the businesses, programs, and fine food finds galore in communities around Southern California, as well as the amazing, multi-tasking people spearheading each area. She brings her experience as a former reporter for weekly newspapers such as The Selma Enterprise, The Kingsburg Recorder and the daily Hanford Sentinel.

As a newspaper journalist and a self-proclaimed "features-holic," Megan credits her fascination with features to her time as Marketing Director at Linden Publishing. She thought that she had dealt with every kind of fascinating character imaginable in city council and school board meetings as a reporter, then quickly learned that authors have interesting stories to tell from the other side of the writing spectrum.
