Maria Hsin is a Los Angeles native and has written for community publications in and around L.A., Santa Monica, Venice and Long Beach, among others. She was a reporter for the Saddleback Valley News and The Orange County Register, covering city hall, cops and housing in Mission Viejo, Lake Forest and Laguna Hills. More recently she contributed to the California section and now-defunct Real Estate section of the Los Angeles Times.
