Juana Esquivel
Before joining Lynwood Patch Latino, Juana worked as a freelance writer and photographer for Culver City Patch while attending California State University, Northridge. At her campus’ newspaper, the Daily Sundial Juana worked as a senior reporter, news editor and staff reporter where she gained first hand experience on the issues that matter and affect students the most. Juana covered some of the Spring 2010 semester’s top stories including changes to financial aid, Haiti earthquake relief efforts, and historic statewide marches against budget cuts. Also, in working with her campus’ Spanish newspaper, El Nuevo Sol, Juana has over two years of experience in working with Spanish-Language journalism and covering issues that affect the Latino community. She has also worked for her campus radio station KCSN, in the KCSN Evening Update.
