The five-member elected City Council provides policy directions to maintain and serve Culver City and its citizens.More The mayor and vice mayor are chosen from amongst the larger body, and serve in their posts for a term of one year; they also represent the members of the City Redevelopment Agency. The City Council meets the second and fourth Monday of each month in City Hall.</p> <p>In late April 2012, Councilmember Andy Weissman won reelection to the council and was appointed mayor.
