I was there and the one that took the pictures. I can only assume the smell of oil was from the oilRead More rig nearby pumping oil. I did hear on the scanner after the fire was put out, that Edison was on scene working on some down power lines. I do not know if that was the cause of the fire.
Edmund Burke April 24, 2013 at 11:33 pm
so a downed power line smells like oil, Bobbi? and emits black smoke? i don't think so.
Bobbi Gold April 23, 2013 at 09:58 pm
The photo shows a driveway of a home in Blair Hills, which is west of La Cienega and nowhere near LaRead More Brea. The cause was a downed power line and/or something else connected to So Cal Edison's power transmission facilities. Can't blame PXP for this one.

Given all the poor grammar you just used in only one long run on sentence, I am going to give themRead More the benefit of your doubt.

I think CCPD are horrible and in many ways out of line and corrupt- they are notorious- I've takenRead More them on and won- they are rude, sexist and abusive- thankfully - stupid as well many of them- they were so easy to bust
Paul V. April 27, 2013 at 07:13 pm
CCPD is a great police department. They are under staffed and overworked and they still do aRead More fantastic job. The don't get the accolades that they deserve. Great job CCPD!

you are doing a sensational job at the patch. It is brave to include the suspect's descriptions inRead More the articles. Just like the LA times Homicide map, we must know exactly which demographic is committing the crimes in our neighborhood. Kudos!

His name is probably Rudy! Lol oh wait they basically said young white guy..Rudy is an old MexicanRead More midget, watch out girls!

So where is the follow up article stating that the prelim hearing is postponed until April 1 becauseRead More the prosecutor "isn't ready" most likely due to lack of evidence? Yet he is still being held, innocently, on 1 million bail...
Glenn E Grab March 10, 2013 at 12:55 pm
this is an awful incident, but, how about the Santa Monica woman who, when probably drunk, ran overRead More and killed a towtruck driver on PCH, fled the scene, hit another parked car, and was caught....she got out on $75,000 bail...was that anywhere near equal justice?...
