The Culver City Julian Dixon branch of the Los Angeles County Library offers access to the sizable collection of the entire county library system. The collection in this branch is not large, but customers can have books from other branches transferred or held. Currently, 28 computers are available to library members in good standing, with printers connected and usable for a small fee per page. Another feature of the library is the Sony Pictures Homework Center, which provides computers, books and homework helpers for students after school. Self check-out is available inside the library, and there are 24-hour drop boxes outside for your convenience. The library also has an 80-person meeting room available to rent.

This branch was renamed in 2001 after the late United States Congressional Representative for the 32nd District, Julian Dixon, who devoted much of his public service to promoting educational institutions and libraries. A unique feature of the library is the Japanese garden out front, a gift from Culver City's sister city, Kaizuka, Japan, and dedicated in 1974.
