Early Fourth of July Festivities at Baldwin Hills Plaza

Free live concert and fireworks this Sun. June 30 at 6 p.m.

The City of Culver City has cancelled its 4th of July fireworks display this year but nearby Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza will offer up fireworks and more in an early July 4 celebration this Sun. June 30.

The event at the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Mall begins at 6 p.m. and will include a free live concert and food, followed by a spectacular fireworks display on the mall’s outdoor promenade.

Pre-show entertainment will be provided by KJLH’s DJ Paradise and host Tammie Mac, along with a variety of food options from Saffron, Southern Girl Desserts, Fatburger, Fleur de Yucatan and Buffalo Wild Wings.

A few lucky guests will also have access to an exclusive VIP area, where they will walk the red carpet, enjoy refreshments from Coca Cola, and receive free “swag bags.”  Concertgoers can enter to win VIP passes on the mall’s website: www.baldwinhillscrenshawplaza.com.

The main concert begins at 7 p.m. with music performances by 1980’s R&B duo Alexander O’Neal and Cherelle, best known for “Saturday Love” and “Never Knew Love like This.” The fireworks display will begin at 9 p.m.

Outdoor seating is on a first come first serve basis, so guests are encouraged to arrive early and bring their own lawn chairs. Parking is available in the structure across from Rave Cinemas and throughout the mall property.

The plaza is located at 3650 West Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
