Motown Sound Heads to Summer Concert Series

Thursday night's line-up at the Culver City Summer Concert Series features Brenda Lee Eager.

The third in this year’s series of four free Thursday night concerts as part of the Culver City Boulevard Music Festival takes place Thursday at 7 p.m. in the courtyard at City Hall.

The festival presents Brenda Lee Eager on Thursday, offering her own classic soul and Motown sound with an All-star band and special guests.

According to a release from festival organizer Gary Mandell, Eager has performed with a variety of artists over the years and will sing songs as well as share stories from her experiences working with singers, including Ray Charles, Smokey Robinson and Etta James. She also recorded several hits with Jerry Butler and had success with a couple of her own rhythm and blues hits.
