It's no surprise that Seigel is excelling academically. He was an honor roll student at El Segundo High and has continued his high marks at the community college level. The first baseman/left fielder hit a home run to spark the Wildcats' 7-5 win over Citrus on April 5 and is recognized as an outstanding defensive player who also hits with power from the top third of the lineup.

Going into this week's games, Seigel was batting .315, with four homers and 14 runs batted in and is co-captain of the West LA team. He has a 3.64 GPA and plans on majoring in kinesiology and exercise science at the university level.
