Taylor Tanita Launches Culver City Centaurs into CIF Division 2A Finals

In a truly nail biting finish Tuesday night, the Culver City High player landed a basket at the final buzzer, to beat Orange Lutheran 42-40. The team will meet Murrieta Valley in the finals in Anaheim on Friday afternoon.

In their at-home game Tuesday night, Taylor Tanita was the player of the moment after she hit a 17-footer during the final buzzer against Orange Lutheran in the CIF-SS Division 2A semi-final game.

The final score? 42-40.  It was a nail biting finish, but Tanita’s heart stopping last second save has secured the girls’ basketball team a berth in the finals on Friday.

The team will now face Murrieta Valley in the finals at the Anaheim Convention Center Friday at 3:30 p.m.
