Softball Junior All-Stars Eliminated at Sectionals
Culver City couldn't keep pace with the hot-hitting Westchester-Del Rey and lost 16-5 at the Section 4 Tournament.
The Culver City All-Stars scored a run in the first inning, but the offense then went into hibernation for the next four innings, losing any chance to keep up with Westchester-Del Rey in a 16-5 loss on Sunday in the Section 4 Tournament.
Down 12-1 in the sixth inning, Culver City did mount a small challenge, getting RBI base hits from Lisa Kamba, Joanna Popoff and Emily Rodriguez. But Westchester-Dey Rey came right back in the top of the seventh with four runs to make sure Culver City would pull no surprise comeback in their last at-bat.
