Culver City Residents Complete L.A. Triathlon

Jose Antonio Gonzales placed 126th overall and 14th in the men's 30-34 age division with a time of 2:30:49 and Wayne Joness was the 6th place finisher from Culver City with a time of 3:04:11.

A total of 13 Culver City residents successfully completed Sunday’s L.A. Herbalife triathlon during the height of Carmageddon II weekend.

The swimming, cycling and running competition began at Venice beach and ended in downtown Los Angeles.

The first place men’s winner was American Cameron Dye with a time of 1:46:57 and the first place women’s winner was American Alicia Kaye with a time of 1:57:57.

Wayne Joness was the 6th finisher from Culver City with a time of 3:04: 11 and was one of 14 legacy competitors that have participated in the triathlon since its inception in 2000.
