Culver City High Baseball Tops University 4-1
The Centaurs move on to the semifinals of the Southern Section Division 3 playoffs.
Three down, two to go.
The Culver City High baseball team defeated Irvine University, 4-1, Friday in the quarterfinals of the CIF Southern Section playoffs and finds itself two victories away from a championship.
The Centaurs scored three runs in the top of the first inning, aided by a pair of University errors, then gave the ball to pitcher Lukas O'Connor. The junior right-hander did the rest, allowing six hits and working out of several jams to pick up his fifth win.
