Centaurs Make All-League Hoops Squads

Aamahd Walker and Lunden Junious are first team selections in basketball.

The All-Ocean League boys and girls basketball teams have been announced and five players made the list. 

Junior forward made the boys' first team after leading the Centaurs in points scored (17.0), rebounds (7.4) and steals (3.7) per game. Joining him on the first team were Rhon Mitchell and Julius Bilbrew of Inglewood, Gerry Blakes and D.J. Harris of Morningside, Jordan Matthews of Santa Monica and Miles Green of Hawthorne.

Two Centaurs made the second team: junior guard , who averaged 14.8 points per game, and senior center and co-captain , who averaged 8.3 points and 6.9 rebounds. Joining them on the second team were Holden Foshag of Santa Monica; Dammond Rogers and Randy Onwuasor of Inglewood and Brandon Hood of Hawthorne.

Patrick Roy of league champion Inglewood was voted Coach of the Year.

On the girls' side, Culver City players were selected. Making the first team was junior forward , who led the Centaurs in rebounds (7.4) and blocks (.5) per game. Joining her on the first team were DeAjanae Scurry of Inglewood and Zhane Carter of Inglewood, DeAndrea Toler of Morningside, Moriah Faulk and Kristina Johnson of Santa Monica, Mikeisha Moore of Hawthorne and Chelsea Austin and Natalie Moy of Beverly Hills.

Sophomore guard made the second team after leading the Centaurs with 2.8 assists per game. Joining her on the list were Tatiana Howard of Morningside, Tiara Chisolm and Marcie Hill of Inglewood and Bianca Balthazar of Santa Monica.

Anthony Scott of league champion Inglewood was voted Coach of the Year.
