United Parents of Culver City School Board Candidate Endorsement Process

Elections are in November, but UPCC is calling on anyone interested in running for a school board position to complete and return a candidate questionnaire in May.

Want to be more involved in the day-to-day operations of Culver City schools? Then consider running for a position on the Culver City Unified School District board in the November 2013 elections.

United Parents of Culver City is implementing a school board candidate endorsement process for the November election and any parent or individual interested in running for a school board position is invited to complete and return a UPCC Candidate Questionnaire.

Deadline to complete the questionnaire is May 8, 2013. To obtain a questionnaire, please email pac@UnitedParentsCulverCity.com

Endorsement Process:

  1. Interviews will be offered by the UPCC PAC as appropriate between May 9 and May 13.
  2. UPCC will support, oppose or remain neutral on each candidate that completes its endorsement process. UPCC may oppose or remain neutral on any candidate that does not complete endorsement process.
  3. UPCC will make its endorsement(s) public during May 2013.

United Parents of Culver City (UPCC) gives parents a voice in promoting an educational culture that places the interests of students before those of adults. Founded in May 2012, UPCC is working to shift the role of parents in education by joining together across schools to be effective parent leaders who join together in a unified voice. UPCC’s Political Action Committee (PAC) organizes the financial and political power of parents to support candidates and issues that promotes an agenda, which focuses on the students first in our city and school district.
