Raytheon Hosts Would-Be Scientists for Engineers Week

The technology giant hosted eager middle schoolers from around Los Angeles County at a special event on Monday.

Defense contractor and aerospace corporation Raytheon hosted more than 200 students from various middle and elementary schools on Monday in honor of Engineers Week .

Students from schools in Manhattan Beach, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Calabasas, Culver City, and others were given interactive demonstrations by Raytheon engineers at the company’s space and airborne systems facility in El Segundo. 

The event also featured a math competition where students were given the chance to compete for a commemorative Raytheon medallion.
