New CCUSD Superintendent’s Welcome Message

David LaRose has officially taken the helm as the new Culver City Unified School District superintendent, following Patti Jaffe’s retirement in June.

David LaRose has to take up the position of the Culver City Unified School District’s new superintendent. He is replacing Patti Jaffe who retired in June.

The following welcome message was post on the CCUSD website by incoming superintendent David LaRose:

Welcome to the Culver City Unified School District. I am honored to be joining a school system and community that share a deep commitment to the success of EVERY child. Our CCUSD Core Beliefs include two statements that reflect this clear sense of purpose and essential school-community partnership:

• The Education of All Students Must Be Our Primary Focus

• Education is a Collaborative Effort among Students, Staff, Family and Community

Educating all students is our fundamental purpose – it’s why we exist. Equally compelling is that fact that the success of all students is dependent on our school district family enlisting parents, community leaders, business partners and local organizations to ensure that every child is safe, healthy, engaged, supported and challenged. These are the indicators of a “whole child” and a successful child. CCUSD is fortunate to have a great district team and a caring, invested community to provide our students with a well-rounded and rigorous learning experience. From our highly acclaimed dual language programs to an incredible array of art-oriented pathways, CCUSD students benefit from learning from adults who love what they do – be it a teacher, a classified employee, a volunteer, or a coach sharing their knowledge and talents in a safe and caring environment.

Thank you for the kind welcome to CCUSD. I feel truly fortunate to be joining a district and community where children are the common bond and where a passion for educating the whole child is embraced by all.

I look forward to connecting with you personally and can be reached directly at DavidLaRose@CCUSD.org.

Dave LaRose

Superintendent

Just a short thought to get the word out quickly about anything in your neighborhood.
Share something with your neighbors. Write a new post... What's up? Make an announcement, speak your mind, or sell something

Maybe more to the point, where does the methane (way more powerful than CO2 as a greenhouse gas)Read More release go from the fracking process, where do the "secret"and other cancer causing chemicals go, and who pays for clean-up costs, increased healthcare costs of residents nearby, possible increased earthquake damage, etc. and where does this oil go (we can't use it--too dirty--so probably China)?

As I understand it, fracking wells "dry up" fairly quickly, which is why pressure to keepRead More drilling so urgent. Where do the jobs go after a year or so? Just a thought....
