Culver City AVPA Production of ‘Our Town’

The High School's Academy of Visual and Performing Arts will present the Thornton Wilder Classic on Nov. 15 through 17 on campus.

Culver City High School’s Academy of Visual Performing Arts has already completed two performances of its latest production – Thornton Wilder’s Our Town  - but there’s still a few chances left to catch it on Nov. 15, 16 and 17 at the Sony Pictures Theatre at the Robert Frost Auditorium on the Culver City High School campus at 4401 Elenda St.

Directed by Justin Lujan and produced by AVPA Creative Director of Theatre Jill Novick, the AVPA Blurred Vision Theatre Company has been working since September to present this American Classic.

"This world that Thornton Wilder has created is universal, touching, poignant, and timeless," said director Justin Lujan in an official release. "Even though Our Town is set in the small fictitious town of Grover's Corners over a century ago, it is still relevant even in 2012 in a very real, very sprawling metropolis like Los Angeles.
