The CCHS Girls Volleyball car wash will take place this Sat. Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. in front of Culver City High School.

On Sat. Oct. 6 the Culver City Girl High Girls Volleyball team will host a car wash benefit in front of the school from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Suggested donation for each was is $7 for one car or $12 for two cars.

Organizers promise there will be a “plethora of snacks, treats, finger-foods, coffee, tea, water, etc. for waiting participants.” In addition, around 40 parents will be on hand to help with the day’s activities

Culver City High School has three GirlsVolleyball teams comprising approximately 40 girls: Frosh/Soph, Junior Varsity and Varsity, coached by Joe Manzo.  All the girls will be on hand for the car wash event.

CCHS participates in the Ocean League Division (Inglewood, Culver City, Beverly Hills, Morningside, and Santa Monica).

Proceeds from Saturday's car wash will help defray expenses for team uniforms, travel expenses, Coach's salary, as well as Tournament Entrance Fees and Scholarship awards. There is a $200.00 voluntary contribution asked at the start of the VB year for all players.

CCHS VB season starts in August and runs to approximately Thanksgiving. CIF, Regional and California State championships usually are conducted after November. Beach cities are traditionally powerhouses with some attaining national rankings.

Thus far this year the Varsity girls Volleyball team has traveled to 'neutral' tournaments in Simi Valley and Torrance, while building a7-9 non-conference record against some powerhouse southern California teams.

CCHS Ocean League opens on Oct. 9 and Oct. 11 when Culver, at home (3:15 p.m. game) plays Morningside and then Beverly Hills.

Please come to Culver City High School, corner of Elenda and Farragut Drive for your car wash. Donations are also accepted.  All proceeds go to the girls Volleyball teams.

If you cannot make the car wash you may send your donation to CCHS Girls Volleyball, Culver City High School, 4401 Elenda St. Culver City, CA.  90230.

Maybe more to the point, where does the methane (way more powerful than CO2 as a greenhouse gas)Read More release go from the fracking process, where do the "secret"and other cancer causing chemicals go, and who pays for clean-up costs, increased healthcare costs of residents nearby, possible increased earthquake damage, etc. and where does this oil go (we can't use it--too dirty--so probably China)?
