Bring the Whole Family to Artworks! For Kids in Culver City

The free day celebrating the arts is open to all this Saturday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Farragut Elementary School.

Don’t know what to do with the kids this weekend? Bring them to the free Artworks! For Kids event this Sat. April 13 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Farragut Elementary School.

Celerating arts in schools, families will enjoy performances, workshops and art happenings throughout the day.  Groups from schools throughout Culver City will take the stage.  Performances range from Hula dancing to RockSTAR to Culver City Public Theater.

Kids can take part in a wide variety of “hands on” experiences. Learn how to make beautiful candles – take a step “from page to stage” – build your part of “Metropolis III,” a kids’ version of a piece on display at LACMA.

Artworks! is all about the arts in our schools, and Farragut students chose their favorite pieces they made this year for a group art show that will be on display all day in the school’s cafeteria.

Food, desserts and coffee drinks will be available for purchase, and there will also be a silent auction with dozens of great items available for the whole family. The Artworks! Online Auction, featuring hundreds of fabulous finds, is open for business from April 14 through April 24 at FarragutFanClub.org.
