Public Meeting on Fracking, Friday

The Culver City City Council Oil Drilling Subcommittee, together with Assemblymember Holly J. Mitchell will hold a public meeting on hydraulic fracturing at the Veterans Memorial Building on Fri. Dec. 14 at 9:30 a.m.

The public is invited this Fri. Dec. 14 to attend and participate in a public meeting on hydraulic fracturing at the Veterans Memorial Building Auditorium, 4117 Overland Ave., Culver City, from 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.

The meeting is being held by the Culver City City Council Oil Drilling Subcommittee (Mayor Andy Weissman and Councilmember Meghan Sahli-Wells) together with Assemblymember Holly J. Mitchell.

At the meeting, the public will have an opportunity to present information to the City Council Subcommittee and Assemblymember Mitchell regarding the use of hydraulic fracturing (“fracking”) in the oil well drilling process.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, you can still submit comments to the attention of Sherry Jordan by any of the following means:

FYI: as this meeting is scheduled during a weekday - the Oil Drilling Subcommittee is open to providing another meeting after the holidays, during a weeknight. Please let us know if you are interested!

This is great news, Meghan. I'm sure there are plenty of people who would want to attend but can't because they work during the day. Keep us posted.
