LAX Bradley Terminal Opening Postponed to 2013

Originally scheduled to re-open by Dec. 12, renovations to LAX's Bradley Terminal won't be completed until spring 2013.

Because of inhospitable weather, construction crews working on the Tom Bradley Terminal (TBIT) at Los Angeles International Airport are unable to to operate large cranes to complete renovations by their intended target date of Dec. 12, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Improvements will be made to the ticket lobby, as well as to the arrivals and bag screening areas. See the attached TBIT Construction Newsletter for a full list of improvements in the TBIT Renovation Project.

According to the Times, LAX officials told Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and the Board of Airport Commissioners that it was unlikely they would complete the improvement project until the spring of 2013.
