Expo Line Traffic Control Program Underway

Southern California Edison has begun implementing a four-week program in Culver City, which affects traffic on Washington Boulevard between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Use our Patch Traffic guide to avoid delays.

Although the opening of the Expo line , Southern California Edison is still moving ahead with its work to provide electrical service to the Expo Culver City station area.

SoCal Edison will start began its Traffic Control Plan for Washington Boulevard, between Ince and National Boulevards on Jan. 5.The work is expected to continue intermittently over the next four weeks and will only take place between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The TCP will include the following temporary changes in Culver City:

  • Eastbound Washington Boulevard, between Ince and National boulevards will be reduced to one through travel lane. 
  • No left-turns will be allowed from eastbound Washington Boulevard to northbound Robertson Boulevard, and within the TCP area on-street parking along the southerly side of Washington Boulevard will be prohibited.
  • Westbound Washington Boulevard will not be impacted.
  • Changeable message signs will be placed along Washington Boulevard and the City will send out e-mail notifications. 
  • Notices to the businesses along Washington Boulevard adjacent to the TCP area were hand-delivered by Edison representatives during the week of December 26.
