Expo Light Rail Construction

Construction crews will implement various construction activities necessary for reconstruction of the various cul-de-sacs, including:

  • Demolition and replacement of curbs and gutters, sidewalks and driveway aprons
  • Installation of storm drains
  • Installation of handicap ramps
  • Removal of trees and retaining walls

Wednesday, February 23, 2011 through Friday, April 29, 2011

Weekday Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Construction crews will be working on the following cul-de-sacs:

  • Helms Avenue
  • Caroline Avenue
  • Wesley Avenue
  • Fay Avenue

  • All streets will remain open for the duration of this construction activity, However, no parking will be allowed in the area near construction.
  • Directional signage and flaggers will be used to safely direct drivers in order to minimize disruption to traffic.
  • Local access will be maintained for all residents.

Advisories:

  • Mitigation measures will be implemented, such as monitoring noise levels to ensure the work performed is within the necessary compliance levels and installing sound blankets if required to buffer any noise that may impact the surrounding community.
  • Parking restrictions in all construction areas will be strictly enforced at all times.
  • Please do not enter the construction work zone and obey all posted construction signs.
