Culver City Electronic Waste Roundup Saturday

Unsure of what to do with old computer monitors, copiers, fax machines, televisions and other items?

Drop them off at Culver City’s electronic waste roundup this Saturday, where they will either be recycled or disposed of safely.

 According to a Culver City Public Works Environmental Programs and Operations statement, most electronic devices contain a variety of materials, including metals that can be recovered and used again. In addition, some electronic products contain enough levels of certain materials that render them hazardous and unacceptable for municipal trash disposal. California law designates waste televisions and monitors as hazardous.

As such, Culver City Public Works Environmental Programs and Operations will hold its e-waste roundup at Culver Palms United Methodist Church’s front parking lot – 4464 Sepulveda Blvd. - on Sat. Oct. 20 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

California Recycles, Inc. is a state certified electronic waste collection and disposal company which operates in compliance with the California Electronics Recycling Act of 2003, which makes it illegal to dump many electronics in landfills or otherwise undesignated areas.
