Culver City Democratic Club Endorses Sahli-Wells and Clarke
Meghan Sahli-Wells and Jim Clarke received the top votes following a City Council candidate's forum on Wednesday night.
Sahli-Wells, Clarke Receive Democratic Club Endorsements
Five of the six candidates running for a seat in the April 10 City Council elections are registered Democrats. Mayor Micheal O’Leary has not listed his party preference and therefore was not invited to participate in a candidate’s forum held Wednesday night at the Culver City Democratic Club.
Following the forum, members voted to endorse Meghan Sahli-Wells and Jim Clarke.

Culver City Crossroads reports that 48 ballots are required to endorse a candidate and only Sahli-Wells and Clarke met the threshold, with Sahli-Wells receiving 65 votes and Clarke receiving 56.

Following her Feb. 1 fundraiser at La Dijonaise restaurant, Meghan Sahli-Wells is holding a follow up event featuring dinner and a night at the theatre to watch production of George Orwell’s 1984.
Tickets for the 1984 fundraiser, directed by The Actor’s Gang’s Artistic Director Tim Robbins are available on Sahli-Wells’ website. One ticket option includes dinner before the show at a downtown Culver City restaurant, which has yet to be announced.
“This spectacular production of 1984 is a powerful reminder of the paramount value of freedom – he hallmark and lifeblood of our democracy and highlights the many benefits we enjoy by supporting the arts in our community,” Sahli-Wells stated in a press release.
Clarke Coffee & Dessert Fundraiser
Madeline and Paul Ehrlich will host a Coffee & Dessert fundraiser for Jim Clarke this Sunday, Feb. 12 between 9 and 9 p.m. at 11472 Diller Ave.
