Culver City Councilmember Meghan Sahli-Wells to Address League of Women Voters

Sahli-Wells will talk about Culver City issues with an emphasis on increasing voter turnout at the League of Women Voters meeting on March 19 at the Culver City Julian Dixon Library.

Culver City Councilmember and League of Women Voters member Meghan Sahli-Wells will discuss issues facing Culver City at the League’s Westside meeting on Tues. March 19 at the Culver City Julian Dixon Library at noon.

Among the issues Sahli-Wells will discuss, are efforts to increase voter turnout in local elections along with the possibility of consolidating School Board and Council elections. Currently, School Board elections are held every two years in November and Council elections are held every two years in April.

Attendees should meet at 11:30 a.m. in the Community Room of Culver City Julian Dixon Library for optional brown-bag lunches, League business, and general socializing. Program will begin at noon and run to about 1:30pm.
