Call to Culver City Residents: PXP Oil Drilling

Editor's note: In light of the residents' protest to increased oil drilling in the Inglewood Oil Fields, we at Patch want to hear your story.

Last week, Culver City and Baldwin Hills residents met with County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas to voice their concerns over increased oil drilling in the Inglewood Oil Fields area, which is under the control of the Plains Exploration & Production Company. With a lawsuit out against PXP for allegedly violating the California Environmental Quality Act by not conducting an adequate environmental impact report before adopting a document designed to regulate drilling, we want to hear from you.

Patch readers: Tell us your stories about living near the Inglewood Oil Fields. Have you experienced health impacts from the proximity of the fields? Do you remember smelling fumes or getting headaches? What do you think about the possibility of increased drilling near Culver City?
