Possible Critical Injury Following Traffic Collision in Culver City

Initial scanner reports say one critical patient was taken to UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center after a vehicle crashed into a light pole at the corner of Washington Boulevard and McLaughlin Avenue.

Shortly after 8:15 p.m. Thursday, Culver City Police and Fire Department officers together with LA fire and police were called to a traffic collision at the corner of Washington Boulevard and McLaughlin Avenue, according to scanner reports.

Culver City Police told Patch that details were still coming in and could only confirm there had been a traffic collision, but unverified scanner reports stated that one person was critically injured while another was being “assessed” after a vehicle crashed into a light pole, causing the light pole to topple over.

According to the reports a Culver City Police detective was called to the scene as one of the victims was transported to UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center by Culver City Fire Department officers.
