Police Blotter: Vandalism and Robbery

A man was robbed at knifepoint on Washington Boulevard.

Here's a recap of crimes that occurred between Feb. 14 and Feb. 20, as reported to the Culver City Police Department.

Vandalism

On Feb. 14 at 12 p.m. a victim called the police department to report her 2007 Saab had been vandalized. The victim said the car was parked and locked in the 3800 block of Westwood Blvd. on Feb. 13 at 10 p.m. When she returned at 6 a.m. the next day she found the rear passenger window had been smashed out.

Residential Burglary

On Feb. 16 at 9:40 p.m. officers responded to the 4000 block of Duquesne Ave. regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victims who told them they all left their residence at 5 p.m. They returned at 9 p.m. and discovered their property missing and the rear door open.

Stolen Vehicle

On Feb. 17 at 1:15 p.m. officers responded to the 5300 block of Mesmer Ave. regarding a stolen vehicle investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them he parked and secured the 1994 Honda at 8 p.m. and when he returned the next morning at 9 a.m. the vehicle was missing.

Street Robbery

On Feb. 18 at 7:28 p.m. officers responded to the 13400 block of Washington Blvd. regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them he was working when the suspect who was holding a knife in his left hand approached him. The suspect then demanded his property. Fearing for his safety he gave his property to the suspect. The suspect then entered a vehicle and fled the location. The suspect was described as a black male, 20-25 years of age, 6’2, 200 lbs. and wearing a T-shirt and blue jeans.
