Attempted Commercial Burglary
On June 5 at 3:35 p.m. officers responded to the 3900 block of Sawtelle Blvd. regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them went to retrieve his car from the rear lot at 7:30 a.m. As he arrived he saw that the rear door was ajar. He checked the door and discovered it had been forced open but the interior was still locked and secured and the suspect(s) were unable to gain entry into the business.
Car Burglary
On June 5 at 10:22 p.m. a victim called the police department to report his 2011 Nissan had been burglarized. The victim said he parked and locked his car in the 3800 block of Cardiff Ave. at 8 p.m. When he returned at 9:30 p.m. he discovered his property missing.
Attempted Robbery
On June 7 at 10:40 p.m. officers responded to Brotman Hospital regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them he was waiting for the bus in the 4100 block of Sepulveda Blvd when he was approached by two male suspects that demanded he empty his pockets. The victim said he began to struggle with the suspects when two more suspects blocked him in from leaving. The suspects began hitting the victim causing him to fall. The suspects then fled the location. Suspect #1 was described as a white male, 25 years old, 5’11, 190 lbs with a ponytail. Suspect #2 was described as an Hispanic male, 19 years old, 5’10, with a shaved head. Suspect #3 was described as a black male, 19-23 years old, wearing plaid shorts. Suspect #4 was described as a black male, 19-25 years old.
Residential Burglary
On June 9 a victim called the police department to report her residence had been burglarized. The victim said she resides in the 4300 block of Keystone Ave. and left at 10 a.m. but did not secure the rear sliding door. When she returned at 11 a.m. she discovered her property missing.
Street Robbery
On June 10 at 9:10 p.m. officers responded to the 6000 block of Sepulveda Blvd. regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who said he was waiting for the bus when two suspects approached him. Suspect #1 produced a handgun and demanded his property. Fearing for his safety he gave the suspects his property. The suspects then fled the area. The suspects were described as two black males, 5’9 to 5’11, 160 lbs.
