Police Blotter: Robbery and Assault

After pulling over to the side of Jefferson Boulevard in Culver City after being yelled at by another female driver, a woman was struck multiple times through her open window before the assailant drove off.

Here's a recap of crimes that occurred between May 22 and May 28 as reported to the Culver City Police Department.

Theft from Motor Vehicle

On May 22 at 11:30 a.m. a victim called the police department to report his property had been stolen from his 2002 Volkswagen. The victim said he parked his car in the 4200 block of Keystone Ave at 1 a.m. and when he returned at 10 a.m. discovered his property missing.

Street Robbery

On May 22 at 10:50 p.m. officers responded to the 3700 block of Robertson Blvd. regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them she was talking on her cell phone when the suspect approached her. The suspect struck her causing her to fall to the ground and then grabbed her cell phone and fled the location.

Assault

On May 23 at 8:15 a.m. a victim came to the police department to report she was a victim of battery. The victim said she was driving in the area of Jefferson Boulevard and Overland Avenue when a Black Tahoe pulled alongside of her and the driver began yelling at her. They both pulled over to the side of the road where the driver of the Tahoe approached the victim and struck her several times through her open window.  The suspect then got into her vehicle and drove away. The suspect was described as a black female, 35-40 years of age 5”5, and wearing a black tank top.

Car Burglary

On May 23 at 11:45 a.m. a victim came to the police department to report his 1992 Mercedes Benz had been burglarized. The victim said he parked and locked his car in the 10400 block of Culver Blvd. on May 21 at 5:30 p.m. When he returned on May 23 at 7:30 a.m. he discovered the driver and passenger windows down and his property missing.

Residential Burglary

On May 25 at 5:35 p.m. officers responded to the 11500 block of Washington Pl. regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them she locked and secured here residence at 9:20 a.m. and when she returned at 5 p.m. discovered her residence had been ransacked and her property missing.
