Police Blotter: Robberies and a Stolen Car

A car burglary and some vandalism round out a busy week for crime in the city

A couple of strong arm robberies and a stolen car were reported all on the same day, as told to Patch by the Culver City Police Department.

Street Robbery

On March 8, 2011 at 12:30 pm, officers responded to the area of Elenda Avenue and Aletta Avenue regarding a robbery investigation. The officers contacted the victim who told them the following; the victim said she was walking when she was approached by two suspects described as a 2 male blacks, 19 years of age, 5’10 to 6’0, and wearing white shirts. The suspects grabbed her personal property and fled the location.

On March 8, 2011 at 3:23 pm, officers responded to the 2900 block of La Cienega Boulevard regarding a robbery investigation. The officers contacted the victim who told them the following; the victim said she was walking when the suspect described as a male black, 25-30 years of age, 5’9, wearing a green shirt and jeans passed by her in the opposite direction. The suspect then turned around and grabbed the victim from behind. The suspect then demanded her money.  

Stolen Car

On March 8, 2011 at 6:45 pm, a victim came to the station to report his vehicle was stolen. The victim said he parked and locked his 2011 Dodge in the area of Sepulveda Boulevard and Sawtelle Avenue on March 4, 2011. When he returned his vehicle was missing.

Vandalism

On March 11, 2011 at 10:15 am, a victim called the station to report vandalism occurred in the 3800 block of Willet Avenue. The victim said unknown suspect(s) spray painted a box container in front of his business. The container was not vandalized when he left the location at 7:00 pm the day before.

Car Burglary

On March 14, 2011 at 1:45 pm, officers responded to the 6000 block of Canterbury Drive regarding a car burglary. The officers contacted the victim who told them the following; the victim said she parked and locked her 2000 Honda Accord at 5:00 pm on the 13th. The next day she discovered unknown suspect(s) smashed her rear passenger window and ransacked her vehicle.
