Police Blotter: Residential and Commercial Burglaries Reported

The following information is from the Culver City Police Department regarding crimes reported for Nov. 5 through Nov. 10. 

Vandalism:

On November 6, 2013 at 12:10 pm, a victim called the police department to report her car had been vandalized. The victim said sometime between October 15th through the 17th, she had parked and locked her 2007 Kia in the area of Ince Avenue and Carson Avenue. On October 17th she noticed the paint on her car appeared to have a chemical burn.

Forgery: 

On November 6, 2013 at 11:40 am, a victim called the police department to report that someone had used his credit card without his permission. The victim was checking his credit card statement and noticed the purchase of two airline tickets that he did not purchase. The victim contacted his credit card company to find out who purchased the airline tickets.

Commercial Burglary:

On November 7, 2013 at 9:40 am, officers responded to the 3500 block of Eastham Drive regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the reporting party who told them the following; the location was locked and secured at 10:30 pm and when they returned the next morning co-workers discovered the property missing. After reviewing security video it was determined that two suspects entered the location while the business was open and removed the property before they closed at 10:30 pm.

Residential Burglary:

On November 7, 2013 at 9:32 pm, officers responded to the 3000 block of Reid Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; she left her residence locked and secured in the morning and when she returned at 8:42 pm, she was met by the police officers who told her that her residence had been burglarized.  The victim then described her loses. The suspects entered the location by forcing open a rear door.

Car Burglary:

On November 8, 2013 at 6:15 am, a victim called the police department to report her 2012 Yukon had been burglarized. The victim said she parked and locked her vehicle in the 6300 block of Green Valley Circle on November 7th at 6:00 pm. When she returned in the morning she discovered her rear window had been broken out and her property missing.
