Police Blotter: Robberies and a Stolen Car

In Culver City, a car is stolen, another car is burglarized and victims report being robbed.

Here's a recap of crimes that occurred between July 17 and July 23 as reported to the Culver City Police Department.

Residential Burglary:

On July 17 at 8 p.m., officers responded to the 4000 block of Globe Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. The victim said she left her residence at 9 a.m. and left with the one window opened. When she returned at 7:40 p.m. she discovered her front door was opened and property missing.

Burglary from a Vehicle:

On July 19 at 7:25 a.m., a victim called the police department to report his property had been stolen from his vehicle. The victim said he parked and locked his 2002 BMW in the 10800 block of Arizona Avenue on July 18th at 6 p.m. When he returned the next morning, he discovered the passenger rear window broken and his property missing.

Stolen Car:

On July 19 at 5:20 p.m., a victim came to the police department to report his 2000 Ferrari had been stolen. The victim said he parked and locked his car in the 10300 block of Washington Boulevard at 10 a.m. When he returned at 12 p.m., he discovered the car was missing.

Street Robbery:

On July 21 at 9:15 a.m., officers responded to the 6000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard regarding a robbery investigation. The victim said he was waiting for the bus and listening to music when a suspect approached him and produced a handgun and demanded his property. Fearing for his safety, he gave the suspect his property. The suspect was described as a black male, 5’9 to 5'10, medium build, and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

Commercial Robbery:

On July 22 at 7:55 p.m., officers responded to the 5200 block of Sepulveda Boulevard regarding a robbery investigation. The victim said two suspects entered the location and demanded that she open the safe. The victim fearing for her safety retrieved the property, and the suspects fled the location. The suspects were described as two black males, 5’8 to 5'10, early twenties, both wearing black hoodie sweatshirts and dark-colored jeans.
