Police Blotter: Commercial Robbery, Car Theft and Assault

A store owner was robbed at gunpoint at Bristol Parkway.

Here's a recap of crimes that occurred between April 17 and April 24, as reported to the Culver City Police Department.

Stolen Vehicle

On April 17 at 11:35 a.m. officers responded to the 6300 block of Green Valley Circle regarding a stolen vehicle investigation. The officers met with the victim who said she parked and locked her 1994 Honda on April 16 at 10:30 p.m. When she returned 8:15 a.m. her vehicle was missing.

Commercial Robbery

On April 17 at 6:20 p.m. officers responded to the 6200 block of Bristol Pkwy regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the reporting party and victim who told them he was working at the cash register when he was approached by the suspect who was in line to pay for a few items. The suspect then produced a handgun and demanded the money from the cash drawer. The victim handed over the money and the suspect fled the location. The suspect was described as a black male, 6’0, muscular build, 30-40 years of age and wearing a baseball hat.

Car Burglary

On April 19 at 5:40 p.m. a victim called the police department to report her car was burglarized. The victim said she parked and locked her 2012 Dodge in the 6000 block of Sepulveda Blvd. at 3:00 p.m. When she returned at 5:00 p.m. she discovered her property missing.

Assault

On April 20 at 12:45 p.m. officers responded to the 5600 block of Sawtelle Blvd. regarding a battery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them he was attempting to collect rent from a tenant and an argument ensued and the suspect pushed the victim and he fell to the ground. The suspect then fled the location.

Commercial Burglary

On April 21 at 12:30 a.m. officers responded to the 9500 block of Culver Blvd. regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the reporting party who told them she was doing some work in her office and when she was done she locked and secured the office. When she returned to her office she discovered the safe was missing.
