Police Blotter: Car Burglaries and a Business Break-In

This week's crime roundup includes an individual who had an unfortunate encounter while waiting for the bus and a car that mysteriously disappeared.

Read on for a recap of crimes, as told to the Culver City Police Department. 

A slew of car burglaries

On April 5 at 8 a.m., a victim called the police station to report that her vehicle had been burglarized. The victim said she parked her 2009 Mercedes Benz in the 5200 block of Purdue Avenue at 8 p.m. on April 4.  When she returned the next morning at 7:30 a.m., she discovered her property was missing.

On April 5 at 9 a.m., a victim called the police station to report that her vehicle had been burglarized. The victim said she parked and locked her vehicle in the 4100 block of Ince Avenue on April 4 at 7 p.m. When she returned the next morning at 7 a.m., she discovered her property was missing.

On April 6 at 12:25 p.m., officers responded to the 3900 block of Landmark Street for a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them that he was waiting for the bus near the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Inglewood Boulevard at 7:30 a.m. when he was approached by someone described as a male Hispanic wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. The suspect produced a knife, demanded his property and then fled on foot.

On April 8 at 8:39 p.m., officers responded to the 3500 block of Schaefer Street regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the manager of the business who told them that the business was locked and secured at 8 p.m. At 8:25 p.m., he received a call from the alarm company regarding an activation. Someone appeared to have entered the location through a window, removed property and fled the location.

The car isn't where I left it 

On April 10 at 9:20 p.m., officers responded to the 6000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard regarding a stolen car investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them that she parked and locked her 1994 Honda at 6 p.m. and when she returned at 7:30 p.m., her vehicle was missing.
