Police Blotter: Burglary, Identity Theft and Vandalism

A woman discovered holes in the exterior wall of her home that may have come from pellets fired from an air gun.

Here's a recap of crimes that occurred between Feb. 28 and March 4 as reported to the Culver City Police Department.

Car Burglary

On Feb. 28 at 4:45 p.m. a victim called the police department to report her 1997 Honda had been burglarized. The victim said she parked and locked her vehicle in the 3300 block of McManus Ave. on Feb. 24 at 3:30 p.m. When she returned on Feb. 28 she discovered her property was missing from her vehicle.

Residential Burglary

On Feb. 29 at 2:15 p.m. officers responded to the 5700 block of Tellefson Rd. regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them she locked and secured her residence at 12:30 p.m. and returned at 2 p.m. When she entered her residence she discovered her property was missing.

Residential Burglary

On Feb. 29 at 8 p.m. officers responded to the 5000 block of Fairbanks Way regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them he left his residence locked and secured at 11 a.m. and returned home at 7:45 p.m. When he entered his home he noticed a rear door had been forced opened and his property missing.

Identity Theft

On March 1 at 8:30 p.m. a resident called the police department to report he was a victim of identity theft. The victim said he had gone to his bank and discovered three transactions and purchases that he did not make. The bank said the transactions involved three different locations.

Vandalism

On March 3 at 9:30 a.m. officers responded to the 4100 block of Wade St. regarding a vandalism investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them she noticed the front exterior wall of her home had been damaged. The damage consisted of small holes that may have been caused by a pellet shot from an air gun.
