Police Blotter: A Burglary at El Rincon Elementary

This week, an unknown suspect broke into the elementary school and stole 'several' Mac computers, according to the Culver City Police Department.

Burglary at El Rincon Elementary

According to Lt. Ronald Iizuka, an unknown suspect broke into El Rincon Elementary on Monday, Nov. 7 in the early morning hours. The school received a call from the alarm company at 3:25 a.m. Lt. Iizuka would not comment on how many Mac computers were stolen, but did say that the window to Room 18—where the computers were formerly kept—was broken out. No suspects have been identified as of Wednesday.

A scratched Infiniti

On Nov. 1 at 8:30 pm., a victim called the police department to report her 2006 Infiniti had been vandalized. The victim said she parked her vehicle in the 6000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard on Nov. 1 at 6:30 p.m., and when she returned at 7:15 p.m., she noticed her driver’s side door had been scratched.

A set of missing tools

On Nov. 2 at 9:30 a.m., officers went to the 10900 block of Fairbanks Way regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the reporting party, who told the officers that he and his construction crew left the location secured on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. He returned the next morning and discovered their tools were missing from the location.

The suspect came in through the window

On Nov. 3 at 12:45 p.m. officers went to the 3100 block of Reid Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim, who told them that he left his residence locked and secured at 5 p.m. on Nov. 2. He returned the next morning at 12:30 p.m. and discovered a window screen on the ground and the window unsecured. He entered the location and discovered his property missing.

A 'hit' and run

On Nov. 6 at 12:45 a.m., officers went to the 5400 block of Sepulveda Boulevard regarding an assault and battery case. The officers met with the victim, who told them that she met the suspect at the location, and when she wanted to leave, the suspect got angry and struck her several times. The suspect then fled the location.

A stolen laptop

On Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m., officers went to 13400 Washington Boulevard regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim, who told them that he was sitting at a table when two suspects approached him and took his laptop. He also said that he was in fear for his safety when the two suspects approached him. The suspects fled the location on foot.
