During the merry week of Christmas, burglaries were the trend du jour in Culver City. Read on for a recap of crimes, as told to the Culver City Police Department.
My stuff isn't in the car anymore
On Dec. 21 at 3:10 p.m., officers were on patrol in the vicinity of the 10900 block of Jefferson Boulevard when they were flagged down by a victim of a car burglary. The victim said he parked and locked his vehicle in a parking lot and when he returned, he discovered someone in his vehicle. The victim attempted to detain the perpetrator, who was a female Hispanic, but she fled the location when a second suspect arrived with a car.

The suspects took personal property.
A victim called the police department on Dec. 22 at 7:30 p.m. to report her vehicle had been broken into. She said she parked and locked her 2005 Honda near the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Lyceum Avenue at 6:30 p.m. When she returned she discovered that her front passenger window was broken. The victim said her personal property was missing.

Stolen property
On Dec. 22 at 7:30 p.m., officers went to the 5900 block of Stoneview Drive to conduct a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim, who told them that he secured his residence at 11:30 a.m. and when he returned at 5 p.m., he discovered his home had been rummaged through and that some property was missing.
A foiled burglary
On Dec. 24 at 10:40 a.m. officers went to the 10400 block of Culver Boulevard to investigated an attempted burglary. The officers met with someone who told that an unknown suspect attempted to pry open a door to the location's laundry room, but wasn't able to get in.
