Police Blotter: Another Street Robbery in Culver City

Two victims were robbed at gunpoint by two suspects at Washington Boulevard and Prospect Avenue around 11 p.m. on Friday night.

Here's a recap of crimes that occurred between May 15 and May 20 as reported to the Culver City Police Department.

Car Burglary

On May 14 at 5:30 p.m. a victim called the police department to report her 2011 Lexus had been burglarized. The victim said she parked and locked his vehicle near the intersection of Hetzler Road and Jefferson Boulevard at 5:15 p.m. When she returned a few minutes later, she discovered the passenger front window had been smashed and her property missing.

Residential Burglary

On May 18, at 5 p.m. officers responded to the 6200 block of Bristol Pkwy regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who said she locked and secured her residence at 9:25 a.m. When she returned at 4:30 p.m. she discovered her front door had been forced open and her property missing.

Street Robbery

On May 18 at 11 p.m. officers responded to the area of Washington Boulevard and Prospect Avenue regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victims who told them they were walking on Prospect Avenue when they were approached by two male suspects. Suspect 1 produced a handgun and demanded their property. Fearing for their safety both victims gave the suspects their property. The suspects then fled the area.

Suspect 1 was described as a black male, 16-20 years of age, 5’5 to 5’8, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt. Suspect 2 was described as a Hispanic male, 16-20 years of age, 5”5 to 5”7, slim build and wearing a hooded sweatshirt.

Vandalism

On May 20 at 2:40 p.m. a victim called the police department to report her 2002 Mercedes Benz’s windshield had been cracked. The victim said she had parked her car the night before and when she returned at 2:30 p.m. noticed the damage to her car.

Stolen Car

On May 20 at 8:02 p.m. a victim called the police department to report his 2001 Saturn had been stolen. The victim said he had left his vehicle for repair in the 10700 block of Jefferson Blvd. on May 19. When he returned the following day, his car was missing.
