Police Blotter: A Spate of Residential Burglaries

Three separate residential burglaries were reported to Culver City police last week. Two were on the same day.

Here's a recap of crimes that occurred between March 6 and March 12, as reported to the Culver City Police Department.

Residential Burglary

On March 6 at 8:15 p.m. officers responded to the 4100 block of Van Buren Ave. regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them her cousin left her residence at 5:20 p.m. and locked and secured the home. She returned at 8:10 p.m. and discovered the front door was open and her property missing.

Residential Burglary

On March 6 at 8:30 p.m. officers responded to the 4100 block of Higuera St. regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them she left her residence locked and secured at 5:10 p.m. She returned at 7:45 p.m. and discovered an upstairs window had been opened and her property missing.

Vandalism

On March 10 at 12:50 a.m. officers responded to the 11400 block of Port Rd. regarding a vandalism investigation. The officers met with the reporting party/security guard who told them he was conducting a check of the location when he observed a window had been broken out.

Residential Burglary

On March 10 at 10:05 p.m. officers responded to the 11000 block of Culver Blvd. regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them she locked and secured her home at 7 p.m. and when she returned at 10 p.m. discovered her front door open. She checked her home and discovered her property was missing.

Stolen Car

On March 12 at 9:15 a.m. officers responded to the 6100 block of Washington Blvd. regarding a stolen car investigation. The officers met with the reporting party who told them she parked and locked her vehicle on March 9 at 4:30 p.m. On March 12 she discovered the van was missing.
