Officer Reportedly Shoots Suspect Armed with Shotgun in Culver City

The incident is reported near Washington Boulevard and Huron Avenue.

An officer-involved shooting has occurred Friday in the area of Washington Boulevard and Huron Avenue, according to the watch commander at the Culver City Police Department.

According to LA Weekly, police shot and wounded a suspect armed with a shotgun near a 7-Eleven store around 2:45 p.m., and the suspect may have crashed a vehicle into a house. 

No officers were wounded, and Washington has reportedly been shut down between Overland Avenue and Sepulveda Boulevard, according to the Weekly.

The suspect was transported to a local hospital where his condition is unknown, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, which is assisting with the investigation.
