New Stop Sign on Sawtelle Boulevard at Hayter Avenue

Culver City Police will be in the area to educate drivers about the newly installed sign in the Sunkist Park neighborhood.

The Culver City Police Department in conjunction with the Public Works Department has installed a new Stop sign at Sawtelle Boulevard at Hayter Avenue in the Sunkist Park neighborhood.

The police department will be in the area to educate drivers on Sawtelle Boulevard so that they are fully aware of the new sign and to enforce violations so that drivers fully comply with all traffic laws.

They need to be out there when it's dark. That street needs more light for the crosswalk and stop signs to be affective .

These stop signs are hard to see at night, God fobid someone uses the crosswalk at night. They should put lights up ASAP before any accidents happen.

I left a message with the Police Dept Tuesday morning concerning the lighting. I watched 3 cars around 11pm sail right through the intersection...I don;t think they realized the stop signs were there.

At night with the poor lighting it is hard to judge where to stop for the stop sign.

This has been a constant problem over the years. Several hundred yards before you reach Hayter, there is a steep hill. Motorists are coasting down that hill at high speeds, creating a hazard for pedestrians and other motorists. I support this action.
