Erica Escobar, 27, of Santa Monica was identified Thursday as the female victim in a double homicide in Culver City. Escobar and Lucien Bergez, 89, were found dead inside a home in the 4000 block of Huron Avenue on Tuesday in what police said were homicides. Police were called to the home about 10 a.m. after the bodies were discovered inside, said Lt. Milton McKinnon of the Culver City Police Department.

McKinnon said he did not know how the two were related or how they died, and front desk officer Darrin Takade said in a phone interview with Patch that a motive for the homicides is not yet known.

Investigators are following up on several leads, McKinnon said. No suspects have been named at this time.
