Cyclist Hit By Car in Culver City

The incident occurred at approximately 4:45 p.m. at the corner of Washington Place and Sawtelle Boulevard. According to witnesses the cyclist ran a red light.

A vehicle struck a man on a bicycle at approximately 4:45 p.m. at the corner of Washington Place and Sawtelle Boulevard Monday afternoon, according to Culver City Police.

Sgt. Zerubi told Patch that according to witnesses the cyclist ran a red light and was hit by someone driving a red Toyota.

The cyclist was transported by the Culver City Fire Department to UCLA Medical Center. There were no further details on the man’s condition, his age, or the exact nature of his injuries.

 The police investigation is ongoing and Patch will bring you more details as they become available.
