Culver City Police: Zero Tolerance for Possessing or Using Fireworks

Culver City police will be actively patrolling the streets on July 4 for anyone possessing or using fireworks.

Culver City Police Lieutenant Ron Iizuka has issued a stern warning to those thinking of using fireworks during July 4. Don't.

Lt. Iizuka has sent out both a written and audio warning that states as follows:

The Culver City Police Department wants the public to have a safe 4th of July. The police department wants the public to know that all fireworks, even those lawfully sold in other cities are illegal in Culver City. The police will be actively patrolling the streets, parks and public areas and there will be a zero tolerance approach to possessing or using fireworks. Please refrain from possessing or using fireworks. The City Council, police and fire departments want the public to have a safe and enjoyable holiday.
