The Culver City Police Department wants to remind residents and visitors that the best way to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday with family and friends is by attending a professional fireworks show.

The sale and possession of all fireworks is illegal in Culver City. That includes the safe and sane manufactured fireworks.

All violators may be subject to fines and arrest if caught possessing or displaying the fireworks.

It is important that the public recognize the potential dangers when it comes to using and handing fireworks. The police department is extremely concerned about the risk of injury especially to children and young adults.

So let’s have a fun and safe Fourth of July by obeying all laws related to fireworks and celebrate this special holiday by being responsible.
