Culver City Police Blotter: Stealing People's Rides

Stolen cars, motorcycles and bicycles in Culver City in this week's police blotter.

Here's a recap of crimes that occurred between May 27 through June 3 as reported to the Culver City Police Department. 

Stolen Vehicle
On May 27 at 9:15 a.m. a victim came to the police department to report his 2002 Ford van was missing. The victim said he parked and locked his van in the 3800 block of Prospect Ave. on May 26 at 11 p.m. When he returned the next day at 7 a.m. his van was missing.

Vandalism
On May 27 at 4 p.m. a victim came to the police department to report her 2007 Toyota had been vandalized. The victim said she parked her car in the 400 block of Huron Ave. on May 24 at 12 p.m. and when she returned on May 27 at 3 p.m. she discovered her windshield had been smashed out.

Street Robbery
On May 28 at 3:06 p.m. officers responded to the 5500 block of Sepulveda Blvd. regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them he was walking in a parking lot when he was approached by a male suspect from behind and the suspect grabbed his property and fled the location.
  
Stolen Motorcycle
On May 31 at 5:10 p.m. a victim came to the police department to report his 2005 Harley Motorcycle was missing. The victim said he parked and locked his motorcycle in the 10700 block of Cranks Rd. on May 23. When he returned on May 31 at 12 p.m. he discovered his motorcycle missing.

Bicycle Theft
On June 2 at 1:05 p.m. a victim came to the police department to report his bicycle was stolen. The victim said he was at work in the 3200 block of Helms Ave. when he saw his bicycle being ridden away by a male Black, 20 years of age, white tee shirt, and red shorts. The victim said the suspect fled the area.
