Culver City Police Blotter: Street Robbery, Cadillac Vandalized

A man is robbed on Sepulveda Boulevard.

Here is a recap of crimes from Aug. 20 through Aug. 26 as reported by the Culver City Police Department:

Residential Burglary:

On August 20, 2013 at 6:05 p.m., officers responded to the 4300 block of Vinton Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them she locked and secured her residence at 9:30 a.m. When she returned at 6:00 p.m., she discovered her front door was opened. She checked the interior of the residence and discovered her property missing.

Theft from Vehicle:

On august 21, 2013 at 2:25 p.m., a victim came to the police department to report her property was missing from her car. The victim said she parked in the 11400 block of Jefferson Boulevard at 1:50 p.m. and when she returned ten minutes later, discovered her property was missing from her 2013 Hyundai.

On August 21, 2013 at 10:23 p.m., officers responded to the 11200 block of Patom Drive regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them he was in the 5400 block of Sepulveda Boulevard when he was approached by a suspect. The suspect demanded the victim's property by threatening him. The victim said he was in fear for his safety so he gave the suspect his property. The suspect was described as a male Hispanic, 6”0, 200-210 lbs, brown hair, brown eyes and wearing a white tank top.

Car Burglary:

On August 23, 2013 at 12:00 p.m., a victim called the police department to report his 2007 Chevrolet Suburban was burglarized. The victim said he parked and locked his vehicle in 4100 block of Huron Avenue at 10:00 a.m. When he returned at 11:30 am, he discovered the driver side door handle had been broken off and his property missing.

Vandalism:

On August 24, 2013 at 3:00 p.m., a victim called police to report his 2006 Cadillac had been vandalized. The victim said he parked and locked his vehicle in the 6000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard at 10:00 a.m. When he returned at 2:30 p.m., he discovered the driver side door handle had been broken.

Stolen Car:

On August 25, 2013 at 7:35 a.m., officers responded to the 3300 block of McManus Avenue regarding a stolen vehicle investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them her 1988 Toyota van was parked and locked at around 12:00 a.m. When she returned later in the morning, her vehicle was missing.
